Grieving his father’s death and his mother’s hasty re-marriage, prince Hamlet encounters a haunting revelation. Torn between duty and damnation, the fate of Denmark lies in his hands: will he act, or allow the darkness to reign? Usher in “the very witching time of night” as one actor takes on 15 different characters in this ghost-story retelling of Shakespeare’s most famous play.

John Michael Cox is the founding artistic director of Vagabond Shakespeare (@vagashakes), and views each new project as an invitation toward Trust, Curiosity, and Play. Hailed as “marvelously comic” by DC Metro Theatre Arts, and praised for his “fierce commitment” by the Greenville News, John Michael has proven his flexibility in over 60 productions in the last 20 years. He holds a BA and MA in Theatre, and earned his MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy at The George Washington University. His daughter, Rosalind, is why he smiles.
