Theatre Description: The Allen J. Graham Auditorium has 285 seats around a thrust stage with no seat farther than seven rows from the stage. Our theatre auditorium has been designed acoustically to accommodate both theatrical productions and musical concerts. For further information please consult our theatre layout page.
Handicap Seating Arrangements: There are six designated handicapped seats (A101, A103, A105 – Left Gallery and A102, A104, A106 – Right Gallery). These seats are floor level with two options: 1) armless seat for easy transfer from wheelchair to theatre seat, 2) seat can be taken out and wheelchair put in its place. There are no barriers between the handicapped spaces and auditorium seats.
Assisted Listening: Infrared assisted listening devices are available at the box office. The listening devices are lightweight, have individual volume controls, and can be used from any seat in the auditorium. Ticket holders may request units at our box office window, and guarantee their return after the performance by leaving a credit card or driver’s license. Our sincere thanks to Mrs. Edith W. Brummer for providing this equipment to the theatre!
Reserved Seating: All seats in the theatre are reserved by row and seat number. Be certain that you are seated in the correct row because each row has the same numbering of seats.
Late Seating: Latecomers may be seated at specific intervals, as determined in advance by the director. Refunds will not be issued to latecomers. All unclaimed seating is released five (5) minutes prior to the beginning of the performance (unless you have called ahead for a late arrival). Should you arrive late and find that your seating has been released, you will be seated at the most convenient interval in the most accessible seats, if available.
Fire Exits: Patrons may exit through both front and rear entrances located in our lobby and office area and through the marked exit signs in the auditorium.
Emergency Contact During Performance: Please call the main theatre number at 864-233-6733 to reach someone in the audience of a performance.
Cameras/Electronic Devices: Cameras (photo or video), and tape recording equipment are not allowed in the auditorium. Please check any equipment of this type at our box office and pick it up as you leave the performance. NO CELL PHONE VIDEOTAPING IS ALLOWED.
Smoking: By city ordinance, smoking is not allowed in the building. Containers are placed outside the entrance lobby and courtyard lobby doors for your convenience.
Refreshments: Refreshments are available for purchase prior to performance and during intermission. No outside food or beverages are permitted in the theatre. Concession items purchased at the theatre are permitted.
Children: Centre Stage’s shows are generally not for children. If a show is deemed appropriate for children, then everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have his/her seat – no babies in arms. Strollers are not permitted in the theatre – please check strollers with a member of the front-of-house staff. Parents are asked to remove restless or noisy children from the theatre.
Inclement Weather: If Centre Stage needs to cancel a show for inclement weather, notifications will be made on the website, Facebook, twitter and sent by email. Patrons may reschedule their tickets for another performance at no charge after the announcement has been made. If there are no more shows available your tickets can be transferred to another Centre Stage show of your choice. There is a $2.00 fee if you choose to transfer your reservation before the announcement has been made. If a cancellation is made for a one-time event that is not produced by Centre Stage you may transfer your ticket to another Centre Stage event or receive a refund. Call the box office at 864.233.6733 for more information or to transfer your ticket reservation.
