Production Manager/Executive Associate
Dea has lived up and down the coast but is thrilled to settle in Greenville, SC, where the art community is alive and thriving! Dea was an entertainer from the beginning, taking advantage of every opportunity to study all possible avenues of music and performance. She was awarded the John Phillip Sousa Award for her instrumental studies, the James Bland Award for her vocal studies, earned a lifetime membership into the International Thespian Society for her dramatic studies, and was awarded a four year scholarship for vocal studies with the Shenandoah College and Conservatory, which she regrettably declined to pursue a business degree. As all good things come full circle, she found herself immersed in the arts once again teaching children and teens through many venues to appreciate the love of the performing arts. Her latest endeavors have been with Artios Greenville. Her directorial credits are vast, but include The Sound of Music, It Takes a Wizard, Neil Simon’s Fools, and The Little Mermaid, Jr. Dea has passed her love of the arts on to her son, Ian Dorman, who graduated from Artios Greenville Conservatory with a theatre concentration and is currently in college to pursue a degree in film and theatre. Dea enjoys the Greenville arts community and welcomes you to enjoy the many wonderful productions Centre Stage has to offer!
